2013 Awards Banquet - April 5
The 2013 Awards Banquet was held on April 5 at the Tippecanoe Shrine Club near Lafayette. The Lafayette Corvette Club was again the host club to the regional competitors and workers for a great meal and Awards presentation. This year 55 region members were able to earn the 2013 Red Region 200 Point Club Jacket, which were presented after the meal along with the Champion ship award plaques.
The last presentation of the evening was the Bill Callahan and Dick Satkamp Award with Mike Godfrey the 2013's deserving winner. This award is given yearly to the person who the Region Competition Director feels exemplifies the qualities that we attribute to Bill Callahan and Dick Satkamp those being competitiveness, comradeship, leadership, and helpfulness. Along with David's heartfelt presentation speech for this annual award there was also an earlier message from the Ladies point winner, Lisa Minier, given by her husband as she was unable to attend this year's event. In it she did mention that 'breaking a leg' might not really be the way to win the points chase in the future and she thanked all of the competitors that helped her to overcome the problems she had during the 2013 season. The evening was another great banquet for all of the competitors and workers of the Indiana Region with everyone looking forward to the upcoming 2014 season!.
Also thanks to Marlin Rhodebeck of the Fort Wayne Corvette Club for a majority of the evenings pictures
