2019 Vettes for Vets 05/04

The eighth annual event was unfortunately had a extremely wet start but still had 97 Corvettes from around the state along with two vehicles from Elkhart with donations arrive at the Tippecanoe Amphitheater Theater. The gathered group were soon enjoying pork burgers and hot dogs along with viewing the colorful display of Corvettes before the drivers meeting. Once done the group headed up the hill to visit the Indiana Veterans Home and their deserving residents. Unfortunately with the damp and cool weather not as many veterans were out to greet the caravan. By the time of the afternoon ceremonies started though more were there to hear that over $7000 and 11 tubs of donations had been given to the event hosted by the Star City and Lafayette Corvette Clubs. As the event wound down the enthusiastic attendees headed for home to the far corners of Indiana.
