Michiana Rallies 10/16
This year's Michiana Rallies brought out 13 pair of competitors for a fun afternoon. Unfortunately the morning had hard rain which somewhat cleared up, but was still misting during the running of the 4 rallies. This year there was one fun and three poker rallies, with wild cards used in two of the poker rallies. As David later said "some it helped some it didn't", in any case everyone had a fun time The courses questions were tough, but there were several that got all of the answers with the tie breaker of the routes mileage being the deciding factor. The winner was within a half mile of the actual 52. With the wet day the scenery was not as bright as if could have been, but the fall colors were still showing through on the canopied tree sections of the drive. Once again the day ended at David's house where brats and chicken & noodles along with other sides and a number of desserts were there for the competitors and workers to enjoy. Once everyone had eaten their fill and the results were tallied prizes were awarded and everyone headed for home. Most will be heading to Grissom for the Great Pumpkin Weekend on the following weekend to end the Indiana Region racing and rallying season.
